Welcome to Our Website...

Hello, and welcome to our Running for a Wish website.  It is our hope and mission to raise $6,000 with all proceeds going to a very well known local children's charity with the intention of sending a child who has a life-threatening medical condition and their family to Walt Disney World.  Therefore, myself and a friend, Kipp Koonce are going to train for a Half Marathon to be run in Disney World next January raising money along the way through golf outings, auctions and general donations from visitors like you.  While it will be a fun experience before and after the race, the work leading up to the run and the run itself will be all done for the hope of giving the family of a critically ill child a chance to make some wonderful memories of their own. 

Kipp and I are both married with 2 children each.  He with a 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter and I with a 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter.  We share a faith and belief that giving is better than receiving and committed to making this a successful drive to give another family a gift.  We also share the true appreciation of having the precious memories with our children and are very blessed to have them.  However, we all know that not every child is healthy and time could be running out for them.  Our desire is that at least one of these children get the opportunity to make the most of what time is available.  So together, Kipp and I ask for your help.  We need your help in encouragement, in spreading our mission to others, and in giving this special gift to a very deserving family.

This website will be a key tool in tracking our training successes, it will feature a calendar of upcoming fund raising events, photos of the events, and a running tally of funds received toward the goal.
